PoshFest, Poshmark's two-day annual conference for the Poshmark community took place November 7th-8th in San Francisco. Poshers - Poshmark users voyaged from near and far across the nation to learn new tips that would further develop their fashion businesses and become empowered to 'make their mark'. Poshmark is a growing fashion app that allows users to buy and sell clothing and accessories from each other's closets. Poshers can shop from hundreds to thousands of women's closets for new and gently used fashion items up to 70% off retail - all from your smartphone or the Internet.
Hundreds of women attended this third annual conference to listen to panel discussions, attend workshops and mingle with fellow Poshers. Key speeches included Poshmark's CEO Manish Chandra discussing his vision for the future of Poshmark, Evelyne Teman's @missaisha555 success story on how she made half a million dollars through Poshmark, and a panel discussion on how building your empire starts with your brand.
Poshers of all levels were in attendance and there was certainly something for everyone. New forces of the Poshmark fashion industry Jacqueline Kirby @lovestoryshop, Cindy Rosandich @cindyciara, Savannah Barrozo @3bugmama, Kelly Ross @crazyposh, and Alexandra Marques @alvictoria were introduced and each spoke on their love for Poshmark and how they personally make their mark.
Boss ladies Chloe Laude @theachloe and Brenda Edmonson @queenmumm lead a workshop on Poshmark business basics and full-time Posher Suzanne Canon @scanon and college student Hannah Ouimet @hannaho spoke about navigating in the fashion industry. Other workshops included 'How to harness the Power of Meet-Ups & Mentoring' led by Jennifer Inthavong @bellanbue, Elle Batigan @ellebee206 and Anna Lahman @mizfabulosity as well as a crash course in 'Poshmark's Latest (and Greatest) Features' led by Tiffany Kroeger @tdgrable24.
Other stand out opportunities to develop your brand included the Promotion and Branding Booth and Closet Consultations by Kate @katef. PoshFest 2015 was an amazing opportunity for fashionistas everywhere to gain tips from power poshers, learn how to create a viable and independent fashion business, meet people they've previously connected with on Poshmark as well as make some new PFF (Posh Friends Forever).
I myself have been a Posher for almost one year now and I found this conference very rewarding, empowering, and inspiring. The energy throughout the seminar was warm and highly supportive. One thing I took away from the conference is that with Poshmark, and in life, there is enough room for everyone to be successful which I absolutely loved, as this is an ideal I prescribe to as well.
Without a doubt, I will be in attendance next year for just the inspiring energy alone! If you're currently not a Posher and are looking for a simple and fun way to sell fashion, download the Poshmark app for free for your iPhone, iPad, or Android app. For more information, visit www.Poshmark.com
